He's been on a diet (mostly cabbage soup), and had not eaten that morning. He ate a little-bitty nibble of the bread. Ten minutes later, he began sweating profusely and nearly passed out. He's okay now, had some milk, ate some food, etc, but he is still not feeling too well several hours later. Also, if you go to a hotluck (and you should, you really really should), save the bread for the end. It's good, but the heat of everything else will pale in comparison. --------------->8 snip-o-matic 8<-------------------- Friends and neighbors: Please don't do this diet. I have seen too many try this and end up with only misery. It is *not*, I repeat, *not* endorsed by anyone save a few people who have done it. The American Heart Association, the AMA, <insert important-sounding legitimate health organization here>, whomever you may have heard of endorsing this is a lie. Besides, it doesn't work. I tried it. Being of great girth (but, not as great as before), I have tried many things and one, and one thing works: sensible eating and exercise. All right, two things work ("Cardinal Biggles! Fetch the comfy chair!"). Starving, eating one certain food or type of food or programs where you purchase food from groups don't work. Period. You have to re-learn how to eat. That's what I'm doing. Damned impossible at times, but no one said it would be easy. So it goes. <stumbles from soapbox, puts on chile-head helmet> But, that's where El Grande comes in. Makes any meal a banquet and the most humble victual ambrosia... El Grande be praised. Amen.
