Just back from my semi-monthly shopping trip to SuperMercado Vallarta in Palmdale (Calif) Found a new hot sauce made by El Yucateco - I have been using their green and red Hab. sauces for years, but this is a new one. Name is XXXTRA Hot Sauce, Salsa Kutbil-ik de Chile Habanero "Original Mayan Recipe from Yucatan" ( They have put the XXXTRA hot/ XXXtra Picante notice on 4 places on the bottle - Contains: Habanero pepper, vinegar, tomato, yodated salt,(?) spices, and 0.1% sodium benzoate as preservative. Manufactured in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. They even have an e-mail address: salsa@yucatan.com.mx (in case you want to inquire about a retailer close to you) It is indeed nippy. opened bottle, sniffed - 10 minutes later, having used half a box of tissues, finally had sinuses under control. Wheee!!!! This stuff should really "pep" up sauces and egg dishes. Am going to make a bean pie and use this for flavor. Will report on findings later. -- Andie Paysinger & the PENDRAGON Basenjis,Teafer,Cheesy,Singer & Player asenji@earthlink.net So. Calif.
