>A Dirt Simple, Plain, but Tried and True Texas Chili Recipe >(taught me by an old friend Ed from Texas, as much a Texas boy as there >ever was) Well, I got inspired from this, and fired up a big ol' batch of chili today. Kinda followed the recipe provided by David, but substituted ground beef and Cajun sausage for the meat, added tomatoes and beans, added *way* more garlic (ok, so I didn't follow the recipe - sue me ;>) The best thing about chili for me is, I think, the opportunity to clean out all the "mostly-but-not-quite-empty" bottles of salsa, hot sauce, etc...I've yet to make two consistant batches of chili in a row, but what the heck, they's still good eatin' on a cold dreary Kansas weekend...
