My first bottle of Dave's lasted forever, despite my efforts to try it
in everything I could think of. One drop would blast the flavor outta
just about everything. Finally, as a last hope I bastardized a
"Honey-glazed Peanuts" recipe, and achived a local celeberty status at
my workplace (Its amazing how many chili-heads come outta the
woodwork...) The Daves heat really works well with the peanuts,
although I usually cut it with some Tabasco and Red Devil (to make sure
the peanuts get coated). I mix some salt with Tourture brand powder,
but I think that this is overkill.

Take one bag of raw peanuts (about 1.5 lbs), about 2-4 tbs of butter, 1
Tbs of Daves (no I'm not kidding), and throw in a few other hot sauces
you have lying around. Melt the butter and mix in the hot sauces. Stir
in the peanuts. Spread a single layer in a pan and bake at 350-375
until brown (about 20 minutes) Stir occasionally.

WARNING: Stand back when opening the oven! Its like getting a blast of
mustard gas in the face and can induce caughing fits ! Every time I
make these (usually several batches) I always forget at least once and
then vow to never make them again.

Needless to say they are pretty hot and I have several funny stories
regarding their consumption. They love these where I work (well some do
...) and have become my standard "thing that you make" by request. If
you use whatever hot sauce is currently in rotation and Dave's no two
batches are ever the same.

Enjoy!
Tom

P.S. Could someone please post a recipe for the bread? (if such a thing
exists) Thanks!
