Hi Dave! Bermuda grass is a stinker. I have never really conquered it but have battled it to a standstill by a combination of: 1. Staking out black plastic on the area during the hot summer. Here in Sacramento this damn near sterilizes the soil. 2. Spraying a pre emergent in mid winter to kill the seeds. (As I set out plants started elsewhere this does not hurt them.) 3. Mulching madly around the bed to keep weeds down. 4. Watching the area like a hawk and ripping/digging out any crabgrass that dares to poke its hear above the soil. My energy levels are such that I can only do this in a small area, but its enough to keep that area weed free. Peace, love and peppers Lorraine
