I would just like to say that, in my limited experience, while habs are a lot hotter than Thais, the burn is a lot more superficial, without the grunt of the straight body chiles. (hab:thai ~= galangal:ginger) This is why combos are so useful. Favourite snack at the mo is fresh green thais with fresh lime wedges. Eat the lime just as the burn hits. At first it feels like it cuts the burn, but it really just spreads it around for a whole-mouth explosion, followed by oesophageal glow. And the whole world turns green. Really low-cal, too! (like I care...)
