At the SoCal Hotluck, I picked up a couple of pieces of the bread to take home. Earlier I had posted a note about a co-worker who tried some of it and, because he had been on a strange diet, had nearly passed out. His 13 year old really likes hot food (VERY hot, no joke) and asked to have some of it. I passed a piece on and he tried it late one evening and decided it was definitely hot. Like most kids, he wanted to take some to school to share with his friends. His dad told him no, emphatically. The next day, dad gets a phone call from his son, who's in the front office at school. Seems he had taken some of the bread to school and passed it on to some other friends (after warning them it was hot). His error was in doing so during spanish class. Seems the entire back row was sitting there with their mouths wide open, sucking air in and out and fanning their faces. The instructor thought this was rather disruptive and confiscated the bread. Why was the son calling? He wanted to see if I could send more bread, 'cause he didn't have any! Dad said no, emphatically.... No word on what was done with the confiscated bread. Hope the teacher didn't take a big bite!
