Ok, first let me jump on the South Jersey bandwagon here. This is THE
place for growing many strange and wonderful plants, hands down! It's
not "What exit?" from here-the road sign to SJ reads "Welcome to Hell".
The Jersey Devil hung around here for the heat long before the hockey
team. Some still whisper that it's the chile variety that keeps it
hanging around.
I will be sending E's to some of you who have interesting seeds within
the next few days reguarding a swap. (Note: The spammers will not hear
from me: You know who you are). I've just about hit the max for seed
trades, so please be advised that the offer is complete for now.
Sili is great as a general table sauce if left in rice vinegar for a
while. It seems to work well with either fresh (green and red) or dried
fruits, depending on your tolerance. 10-15 sili in 1/2 cup of vinegar
seems to work for most people. Garlic and/or fresh ginger keep the fire
burning.
