I do have a suggestion for you to try.
Plain Borax (laundry section of the maket)  It is granular and you want
it to be powdery like talc
put a small amount  in  a  spice/coffee grinder  or a blender and
process it into a powder.
You can put some in a shallow dish and blow it onto the plant with a
soda straw. (This takes some practice)
Another  thing I have used on affected houseplants is hairspray.  I put
the plants in the bathtub and sprayed them with a laquer type (water
soluable) hair spray  leave it on for an hour or so then wash off by
spritzing with water.  The bugs are smothered by the spray and go down
the drain.
