Twas Writ: <excerpt>Following this thread, I wonder if anybody has tried drying chilles in the microwave? I have dried various herbs from time to time when a recipe calls for dry rather than fresh. Real chille-nukem?? </excerpt> Simply...do NOT do it, IMO. You will <<1> burn them, <<2> fill your abode with capsiacin to such levels that felines/mutts/fish will cry out in pain and rip holes in the screen door, tear down curtains, jump in the toilet and flush themselves outta the place. In addition, if circumstances are identical to my experience, you will really, *really* piss off your SO/mother|father-in-law/BIL/SIL if you happen to be residing in their basement at the time of Chile Nuke-o-Rama. There are better ways, e.g. low temp oven; dehydrator (they pay for themselves quickly), Sol, etc. Peace, Hendrix, and Chiles.......
