Thai ornamental chiles only get to be between 6 and 12 inches tall.
"Charleston Hot" cayenne type plants are supposed to grow to 18 inches
tall. Really, though, a 36 inch tall plant (like Habanero) isn't as much
of a problem to keep in a pot as it sounds. You just have to make sure you
have a window large enough and well exposed enough for the plant to get the
light it needs. The root system doesn't go as deep as it would for a tree.
You don't need initially need a 5 gallon bucket, you just need a large
flower pot.
