Tom, As a former resident of the DFW area I can recall a couple of places that I liked to eat. The first was Mia's on Lemon Ave (I think B-) ). Try the Sunset Fajitas. They are incredible. And then there's Mercado's. I do not remember the street that it is on, but it is worth looking up. They had a grill that was fired with mesquite chunks and the chicken grilled over that baby was heavenly. I hope they still exist, since it has been 8 yrs since I lived in Garland, a suburb of Dallas. I hope that this will get you started. There is one other place called Santanas, but I haven't the foggiest idea of how to get to it if it still exists. It was a little hole-in-the-wall-mom-and-pop outfit. When you ordered fajitas they would bring the meat and veggies out on a blistering hot comal and then, at your table, pour some of the marinade over it. This would produce a cloud of steam that smelled of the fajitas. It was great. Once, while we were eating there, at least 5 other people all order fajitas and they were served within minutes of each other. After all were served you couldn't see the far wall for the steam, but MAN that place smelled good!! Best wishes, and I hope that this rambling is helpful in some way... B-) George J.
