My secretary is punished with these from time to time, and she does the following- cuts the gabacho chile picker <<<boz>>> Actually, shingles is caused by the herpes "zoster" virus. and it only appears in people who have had chickenpox. the virus "hides" in the spinal cord and for some unknow reason will attack a paritcular nerve which is why it only appears on one half of the body and follows the nerve around from back to front but will not cross the midline. At one time Vit. B-12 injections were given to alleviate some of the pain, but it was minimal relief at best. I have used the pepper cream and found that it does work. I am cursed with herpes simplex - fever blisters, and use L-Lysine. I take 1500 mg a day all the time and when I feel one coming on I will take up to 4000 mg a day. It works for me and has worked for a lot of other people I have told about it since I learned about it back in 1974. There was a clinical study done at UCLA that showed it worked in 90 % of the people who tried it. -- Andie Paysinger & the PENDRAGON Basenjis,Teafer,Cheesy,Singer & Player asenji@earthlink.net So.
