In my previous post on my find I had hoped to get some discussion on the possible origins of this species and variety in South Africa. I am totally puzzled by the complete silence of the list. Any clues would be welcome so come on lets have some from the botanical types, anyone with knowledge of bird migration or possible reason for a bird C. baccatum to be found in a garden here. It was never planted by anyone as I have known this garden for the last 35 years. Flower: Petal white with green spots Fruit: 5..7mm x 4mm, erect Fruit shape: oval Immature fruit: green Mature fruit: orange to red Species: C. baccatum. Identification is based on flower and spots See similar USDA 238061 but smaller Cheers Peter -- Peter Moss E-Mail: pmoss@yoda.alt.za Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.
