I was in Jerry's (a local large garden center--similar to a Home Depot style megamart here in Eugene, OR) this morning, and wandered over to look at their chile starters. I was surprised to find that habaneros seemed to outnumber all other chile types by a factor of 5 or more. It was amazing--shelves and shelves of flats of tiny habs. Brought a tear to my eye. Last year I overheard an employee mention that he'd had many requests for them, but they couldn't get them 'til late and couldn't meet the demand. *This* must be the year. It's just good to see the gospel spreading--El Grande in every garden by the millenium! ed
