A nice dessert is what we Zappa lovers call Peaches en Regalia, simply use
fresh <preferred> peeled or canned peaches, mix in healthy amounts of lime
juice, honey, fresh grated ginger and zest of lime, lemon, and orange, add a
dash of the orange juice if you want it sloppier and don't mind the looks
you get eating it, and let it sit in the fridge for a couple-three hours. It
is, as my hippy friends used to say, "the whip" over vanilla ice cream, and
would and has been a real kicker with the addition of a bit of finely ground
pepper powder of your choice, I really like either Calvin's or chipotle. The
sugars and citrus really blend beautifully with the heat. This is also a
great basis for a canned preserve if you up the sugars and thicken down the
liquid with a bit of cooking. The REALLY decadent ones can cook in a bit of
candied ginger as I once did when faced with an overabundance <thank you
bulk department for overordering again!!> ...... variations using mango and
apricot were also tried with great success. Go nuts, it feels great.

P.S. I have no blood in my caffine system!
