- > but can you actually say that you felt better after a half a day in a > room full of fluorescent lights? <S> Not to rain on your parade, but isn't there supposed to be some UV danger from halogen grow lights, to skin or eyes or both? <big snip> ... I forgot to mention that I use the same precautions that I would if I were to go out into a "real" garden on a summer's day... I DON'T look into the light, and I DO use sunscreen on my exposed bits. <G> Not that much gets exposed these days, I've got that phosphorescent Irish-based skin that glows in the dark..... pity my Sicilian half of the family didn't have more dominant genes... ANYHOW, yeah, it's not a toy, but it IS valuable as a kind of home light therapy room, so with proper caution, I reap the benefits. And I have to say that the plants are busting a move in there, I had some that were down to a stick with a couple of half-dried out leaves come back with startling vigour and greenery in just a week.... I'm looking forward to fresh peppers this winter! Now, I have to get a decent sable brush for the pollination.... and start tickling them a bit. Laytah... Diane
