I need some clarification on the temperature ranges I've read concerning chiles and fruit production. Most sources state that if the daytime temperature is above 90-95 F, the plants won't set fruit. But I've also read that mulching to keep the roots cool will help with fruit production in hot climates. Which is more important? The temperature of the roots or the temperature of the plant? If its over 100 F but I keep the roots cool, will my plants set peppers? JMA
