Well, I've had three goodsized chile plants producing like mad on my
kitchen windowsill for two years now; very handy for plonking a few into
coffee. :)  Most chiles seem to be awfully tough and resilient.  But
personally, I'd sure hate to see a tree cut down, particularly a mature
one, for the sake of my garden. (Or maybe you were kidding, I dunno.)
