All this recent chip talk reminded me that from early 1995 until early 1996,
I used to buy Tabasco® flavored Fritos. I beleive they were not marketed to
much of the USA, and indeed were still in the test market stage, when they
were pulled from the shelves in favor of some other flavor of fritos,
something salsa or tex-mex, or there'bouts. These chips really did have a
good amount of heat, and they were quite tasty too. I admit to being one of
the silent majority on this list who likes Tabasco® Sauce, though. I'd like
to hear from any of you who have tried Tabasco® Fritos, and shares my lament
over their demise. Detractors' comments are welcome too.
