There is a great little Jamaican Restaurant called the Kingston Cafe
Located at
333 S. Fair Oaks Ave. (818- 405-8804) It's a little house on the West
side of the street about 4 blocks south of Colorado Blvd. Had fantastic
Jerk chicken there a few weeks ago. Ample portions and my plate was
blessed with a few whole habs.
There was a great Peruvian restaurant on Colorado called Merida's but
they closed their doors a few weeks ago.. That's it for anything out of
the ordinary. Fantastic Pizza at Tarrintinos on Green st. Great Greek
at the Burger Continental on Lake.
There is another Caribbean Restaurant that I haven't tried just north of
Colorado on Los Robles (I think). This one looks very trendy compared to
the first one.
As far as Hot Sauce Shops you're out of luck. Hot Hot Hot used to
have a great little store right in old town Pasadena but they have gone
strictly to web sales. :-(
