>I know several of you chile-heads are computer support people. Any ideas >why I couldn't open Chile-Heads digest #138? I use Windows 95, and Eudora >Lite 3.0, and tapping on the mouse, cursor on C-H digest #138 elicited just >the @#$%^ tumbling hourglass. Wouldn't stop. Control-alternate-delete, >restarted computer. Same thing. Turned computer off for overnight. This >morning the same thing, so I deleted it without reading. Sob. TIA, I had this happen to me with version 3 PRO. The problem does not happen with Verson 4. There is an certain size to some digests that gives Eudora fits. Fortunately there is a simple way round this. When you encounter this problem, reboot and get back into Eudora. However instead of trying to open the mail, highlight the offending digest and then click the FORWARD button on the toolbar. It will open the digest as a piece of new mail. Read it then erase it without sending. Scott Peterson ScottP4@IBM.NET If work is so terrific, how come they have to pay you to do it?
