This one was in the paper this morning:
Microwave Hot & Spicy Chex Party Mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
2-1/2 tsps. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. hot sauce of your choice
1-1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
1 cup bite-size cheese crackers
2 cups garlic croutons
6 cups Chex cereals (corn, rice and/or wheat)
1 cup mixed nuts
1 cup tiny pretzels twists (I've used green chile pretzels)
Combine butter, Worcestshire, hot sauce and seasoned salt.
Pour crackers, croutons, cereals, nuts and pretzels into a large lock-top
plastic bag. Pour on the butter mixture and seal top of bag. Shake bag
until all pieces are evenly coated.
Pour contents of bag into a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high
for 5-6 minutes, stirring thoroughly every 2 minutes. While stirring, make
sure to scrape sides and bottom of bowl. Spread on absorbent paper towels
to cool.
Store airtight.
Makes 11 cups
Variation: Heat conventional oven to 250 degrees. Pour coated mixture
into an open roasting pan. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
