Caveat Emptor

Notice some on list requesting info about Totally Tomatoes.

Here is my experience with them.

Last year they had a special for their 5 hottest chili's, I bought it.
Here's my results.

I had Anthranose and bacterial spot for the 1st time in 50 years of
gardening.

Their "Original Strain" habs had what appeared to be attached by "twig
pruner"
1 and only 1 "Master Gardener" told me that could have also been a
seed borne disease.

5 out of the 6 Charleston Hots turned yellow with brown raised lesions.

I also ordered from a "Fertility Analyzer", according to the advertisement
it sounded like you could get seperate N-P-K readings. When I recieved
it all it did was to say add fertilizer or not, After 3 attempts to return,
with no answer (you know what that means) I gave up.

In this same garden I also had 6 habs from Burpee, Serranno's from Stokes
Red Savina's from N-K seeds, a couple Chocolate hab transplants from
Texas, Peter Peppers and Country Girls from Alfrey seeds. Tobasco's
from Harris seeds and Thai Hot Dragons from New England Seeds. I also
had some sweet bells, Whopper and Fat'n Sassy's from Vessey's seeds
A couple Califorina Wonders, from American seeds (10 cents per pack)
None of these other seeds exhibited any of the above problems

Be also aware that Totally Tomatoes, Vermont Bean Seed and Seymour Seeds
are all the same parent company. So my cataloges from them head for the
recycle bin, unopened.

On little note, If you buy seeds from any company, that somewhere in there
catalog, you do not find the works, Georgia treated, chlorine treated or
all seeds are inspected for baterial problems. Chlorine treat them yourself

before planting. It amy save you the above greif and aggrevation.
