-> The term Absinthe for the drink is derived from the latin family name
-> of the plant, Artemisia Absinthium. There a several varieties here in
-> Sweden, no idea about what some of the English names are.
-> Artemisia Vulgare ("Gråbo") is a regular weed here. Tastes
-> disgusting,

Mugwort. Shouldn't taste disgusting unless it's growing in something
nasty; makes a very pleasant-tasting tea that is relaxing and, while
not druglike or hallucinatory, tends to produce pleasantly vivid dreams.
x
-> Artemisia Arbotanum ("Åbrodd" - "Oldman Wormwood") - Spice
x
_A. abrotanum_, B before R -- southernwood.  Nice in potpourri;
magickally, it also has a long folk use to keep away trouble.
x
-> Artemisia Dracunculus ("Tarragon") - Spice... the best to use in
-> garlic butter... Mmmm...
x
mmmMMMMMmmmmmm.
x
-> essential oils...unless I there was a long,
-> proven history of it being benign. There is just a huge difference
-> between the effects of "normal" use and such wildy high
-> concentrations.
x
Damned right. Rosemary oil, for instance, can kill you.
