Yup, I went and judged Hot Sauces.  Lots of ways that you can volunteer.
Lots of things to Judge and/or help out with.  Great fun.

It's held every year at Columbus Day in October.  Unfortunately, this past
year, it rained on and off all weekend, which kept the turnout down.

There was a web page, but I don't have the URL.  You might 
find it in dejanews in the ne.food or ne.general newsgroups.

I think it's called Pig 'n Pepper, but I'm not 100% sure.  

The Old Bear went (on a different day), but he's way behind in his 
reading.  He probably has the URL though.
