Noticed in 5 of my seed cataloges that peppers are very light
feeders and only need very light amounts of nitrogen and a lot.
of phosphate Their recommendation is to feed sparingly
ONCE PER MONTH.

For you experimenters, try this, side dress with 1/3 to 1/2 cup
5-20-20 once per month, Use 1 cup with full fruit load
I think you will like the end results.

Epsom salts, mix 1 tbsp per gal, add 1 qt per plant at time
of transplanting, and repeat at blossom set or first fruit set.
Epsom salts is to help promote root growth.

If you have had problems with blossom end rot in the past.
Place 1 dried, finely crushed eggshell around each plant
at the time of transplanting. This will supply the calcium needed
at a very nominal price.

For you really new gardeners, blossom end rot is where the fruit
starts to turn black on the blossom end, then the rest of the fruit also
turns black
