I have photographed small blossoms of the many herbs I grow. I use cheesecloth, several layers thick, tacked or stapled to a canvas stretcher (or old picture frame) but NOT stretched tightly. I do put a white surface under the cheesecloth as some background will show through, I have a piece of foamcore board that is bright white that I have been using for years. anyway, the weave of the cheescloth is so open that I can thread the flower stem(s) through it and they will stay in place perfectly. The white surface underneath reflects enough light so there are no shadows under the petals. -- Andie Paysinger & the PENDRAGON Basenjis,Teafer,Cheesy,Singer & Player asenji@earthlink.net So. Calif.
