I've been enjoying the inputs although some are a little far fetched. Last weekend I had my chance at the disgusting feral beast who is invading my rocoto patch and disturbing my delicate ecosystem. I noticed him crouched in my garden, doing his business, and immediately went for my weapon of choice. A Remington 1100 loaded with 3 fresh 2 oz slugs. As I carefully tiptoed around the back of my house the beast spotted me. He began to charge and I had no choice but to let the Remington ring load and clear throughout the neighborhood. Well, my first shot missed completely and I blew a huge hole through my privacy fence. Wood flew everywhere. I think I heard someone scream off in the distance, Lucky for me, the beast was frightened and began to run. But by then I was pissed and still had 2 slugs left. My second shot was no better. This time pepper leaves flew everywhere. Boy was I mad (more so than about the fence). The coward continued running. As I watched him run away, I simply put my gun down and did not even consider a third shot. The smell of gunpowder filled the air and I knew that I had won this battle. Feral dogs beware. There's a new sheriff in town. I think next time I will try a new approach, however. If they only had a Havaheart trap big enough for feral dogs. One things for sure...his butt would be underwater really quick along with all of those damn squirrels.
