1. Pork and trichinosis. There are reported cases of it in the US with in the last ten years, but the only cases were sausage makers who eat raw pork to taste-test the sausage they are making. Cooking pork to be pink, rather than ashen gray is fine. 2. Alternative Midwest Hotluck??? - Is it possible that there is enough interest in a hotluck in Wis/ Northern Ill? I'm in the Milwaukee area and while it may not be a large get-together, it could be fun.
