Weeds up to 16 in away from the plant, for the first 14 weeks
of growth can reduce yeilds up to 10%

Bottom line, Weeds left between the plant and the plastic can reduce
production by 10%
Peppers are the poorest plants for weed competition.
Bottom Line:
Back on your knees
and pull those weeds.
