Days to maturity given on seeds which must be transplanted are
always from the date of transplanting. You must plant your seeds
indoors 8-10 weeks before your average last frost date. Days to
maturity on seed packets are usually given under optimum growing
conditions.

I see Habaneros in seed catalogs with 80 - 90 days to maturity when
it's probably closer to 120 days. Our average last frost date is May
15, and we are planting our seeds this week.
