Please further my education.  If Capsaicin makes chile peppers hot, what is
it in black pepper or horseradish that makes them hot.  I had missionary
friends just back from Africa that used prodigious amounts of black pepper
(typical native cooking, they said) and seemed immune.  I was definitely
.<not>.!

In answer to someone's question:  Odd Lots and Big Lots (same outfit) are
Ohio based, I'm told, and I know that they are quite similar to McFrugals.

Thanks to those of you that recommended La Bamba.  I liked it well enough to
go back, even if there is no parking at the Columbus OH store.  I only went
up one level of heat in salsa, but even that got a big double-take and I had
to repeat the request.  I guess junior senior citizens just don't do that.
