Chlorine treatment of seeds AKA Georgia treatment is to kill seed borne bacteria. The effect of chlorine is gone as soon as it evaporates. Thiram also does not last long enough to control damp-off. Lost too many cole crops that were thiram treated. The effect is lost after about 2 weeks from start of germination. And definately does not stay with a plant from seed start medium to larger pot. The only seed company that I know of that does both chlorine treatment and coats the seeds with thiram is Stokes Seeds. There maybe others I just haven't found them yet. Byron
