Very true. Also if you cut back or stop your capsaicin consumption the perceived level of heat increases. So if you are a seasonal connoisseur you will detect a (often big) differences in perceived heat from the same Chile at different times. One nice thing about extending your "heat comfort zone/Immunity" is you will be able to enjoy the many new flavors so many different Chiles provide. You will not be overwhelmed by the blast of heat and lose the subtle flavors.
