Getting into this discussion a little late, but hey... better now than never.

Favorite chile for flavor alone: chipotles (especially in adobo... eat them
straight out of the can!) 
Favorite chile for flavor and heat: red habaneros 
Favorite pop-one-in-your-mouth chile: pequins 
Favorite chile to cook with and still not kill my non-CH significant other:
New Mexico Sandia Hot 
Favorite pickled chile: habanero
Favorite powdered chile for cooking: cayenne for company, smoked habanero
if I'm alone 
Favorite chile-based pizza condiment: sriracha sauce
