I grew poblanos last year, both in the ground and in a pot, and did not have much of a yield. The seedlings were beautiful and healthy. But the yield was very small - about 2-3 peppers each plant. I use organic methods, I changed the soil last year because it had some kind of virus or something in it that was killing my yellow tomato plants. But the weather was really bad - the spring was too wet and not enough sun. The summer was too wet and not enough sun. I guess that is why they didn't grow well, do you think? We had heat but no sun. The year before I grew the same poblanos in the ground and had a little better yield but not much. Not much better weather either. Did I answer my question or maybe I could've done something extra to help them yield more? I don't know but I want to grow peppers and get high yields this summer, no matter what the weather. Help.
