On the spice shelf at my local Thai/Chinese/Indonesian/etc grocery the other day, they had big (100g) packets of 'Sweet Basil Seed'. Basilophile that I am, I brought some home. Turns out that they taste of generic plant seeds, so they're obviously not meant for use directly as a flavouring. What are they used for in such quantities? Can you sprout the stuff like alfalfa, or is there something I'm missing here? Anyone? jbc
