Oh, you are an inspiring group. Loving the recipes and suggestions. Where else would you find a recipe for 'biltong'? Enjoy the Digest thoroughly. There may be a little unintended pun there...ahem. I'm completely out of my homemade hab flakes. I sighed heavily as I tapped the last of them out. Being addicted, I carry them in a white plastic film can. Grinding in a blender works better for me than my coffee grinder. The cats do run and hide now when they hear the blender....rreoowwww, aaaackhack. Come on Spring! I wanna plant some chiles. Traveled West last month and was able to drive over to Tijuana. Incredible, simple seafood delicacies at Los Arcos restaurant...shrimp, pulpo, snapper, etc. served in scallop shells with wonderful sauces/condiments. My Hispanic relatives often saying...'too hot/spicy!' YUM! La Costa is another restaurant I like too. Hate to pay US prices for canned chiles....sooooo, picked up a case of jalapeno rajas en escabeche....the large cans. My husband asked me 4 TIMES...'you want a WHOLE case?' Anyhoo, the well-taped box broke and we had cans of chiles rolling all over the baggage conveyor back in Louisville. The skycap hit me up for one....she got it too. Chile people are everywhere.
