Howdy, I'm new to this list, thought I posted this the other day when I replied to Risa's question about container growing but I don't think it went thru to the list. I grow exclusively in containers on a balcony in New Orleans. Flowers, trees, shrubs, roses, basils, greens, raspberries, beans, tomatoes in season. I grow peppers continually in these currently mild La Nina winters. My poblanos are loaded with peppers now and the cayennes are full of blooms despite having to haul them indoors for a hurricane in September and 2 freezes this winter (survived in temps from 38-108 degrees). They thrive on stress & the music in the streets! :) My Cayennes are now a couple years old & 4' tall in windowboxes. My other fave is Hungarian hot wax, so versatile in cooking and colorful too. I also grow sweet peppers -conchi di toro (Italian sweet bulls horn) Jingle bells & chocolate bells. This year I'm going to try habaneros and many other chilies I received from someone in my Yahoo PEPPERS club, hey maybe some of you are even here on this list?! It's great! I want to learn more about chilies! You're all invited to join my PEPPERS clubs at Yahoo & Excite (links below)too. Stay HOT, Grow Crazy!
