I guess that is why there are so many different chiles. Different tastes for different waists! A chilehead where my wife works always has extra plants at planting time. Maybe I'll get a couple of habs from him and try them out again. Interestingly enough we have found 5 couples at our church that are chileheads (almost enough for our own hotluck). One couple found out about us and offered us the extra chiles that the can't seem to use at harvest time (they don't have a dryer and don't pickle). We hesitated for a millisecond before saying "YES"! > Interesting. While hot, I'd say they have the best flavor, especially for > fruit based sauces, marinades and jerks, and for fish. > > > and they smell bad when I cook with them > > Smell bad? While they may put out lethal fumes (occasionally when cooking > with them people can be heard at the far end of the house coughing > fitfully), we find the smell wonderful.
