Greetings,all-
Well, since somebody else has 'brung' it up I'll add my $0.29
[note timely adjustment for inflation]. I think the sharing of receipes is
great---I have a fine collection of torrifying tidbits that I've picked up here
on these pages. But what ain't so great in reading the CH Digest [IMHO] is
to encounter a multi-paged inundation of receipes that clearly have never been
tested or tasted by the poster. Seems to me that a good rule of thumb would be
to limit one's enthusiasm per posting to a few (2 or 3?) of the very best
that we've tried out. If the others simply cry out for circulation, list
them by name & those of us who are interested can select & request a direct
email of same from you.
And I agree with the remarks re: copying the original message in the
reply....surely our mail programs allow the reference to be edited down to a
line or two and economize on bandwidth.
Lastly, [gripe #3]: would those who post gardening remarks *PLEASE*
indicate your geographic location?? Without a placename, <xmbldt@fishnet.pft>
or even an elaborate 10-line graphic 'signature' doesn't give a clue as to the
climate in which your reported technique is working!
