If I may make a clarification to Dave Anderson's post:

That is 10g dissolved in 100ml of water, or 1oz. dissolved in 10fl. oz. water.

The bleach commonly sold in the US (and elsewhere as far as I can remember)
is a 5% solution of sodium hypochlorite. It is possible to buy stronger
solutions, for example 10% strength is used as a pool chemical. Do NOT put
your seeds in such a solution. What is meant here is to dilute one part of
the 5% store bought bleach with nine parts of water.
[Quite the "Cardinal Chemist" huh? (But maybe I saved somebody's seeds.)]
