I suspect they mean the seeds, ground up. My jar (from SpiceRite (tm)
of Brooklyn, NY 11238) says "Ground Coriander has a warm, distinctive,
fragrant aroma and a mildly sweet yet slightly pungent taste.....
often an ingredient in curry powders and other spice mixtures.... used
in cookies(?), pastries(?), buns(?), sausages and frankfurters." (sic)

The whiff is about the same as when I crush coriander seeds between
two spoons. So, I'm goona opine that it's ground seeds... but, like
life - there ain't no guarantees on that. <GGG>

ENJOY!!!
