I wonder: would strategically placed Habs (beyond the reach of a 4 year old) stop the adults??/parents who (and let their children) 'graze' their way through the marketplace??? Rgds, JC the Other Hey folks..... When I was working for a few years selling fruit and veggies in the states, one of the greatest threats to our displays was "the grazer" followed closely by "the grazer's kids". Many times I saw our laboriously stacked apples come rolling onto the floor in vast quantities because a child was cheerfully allowed to do some "excavation" to find the nicest apple <always believed to be in the back of the bottom of the pile...<G>> ...until one day someone used some peppers in the kale border of the display to make it prettier, not realising the consequences.... I had just come out of the cooler in time to see a particularly regular little bandit rip into the decorative border cut carrot flowers, radish roses, and..... habaneros. The scene went like this: Grab, munch, toss on floor, grab, munch, toss on floor, grab, munch, run screaming down all aisles yelling for mom and trying to pull own tongue out of head. Now, there was no real damage done <a strategically purchased ice cream smoothie soothed the pain pronto> but the child NEVER touched the displays again and as I recall he steered clear of the whole department for a couple of months after. But the displays were never made using peppers again for fear of some kind of lawsuit. Pity! Diane in Flanders
