Hi all,
Last year some gardeners here found that tomato plants grown
from old seed produced more fruit than those from fresh seeds.
I had this experience myself and it prompts me to ask whether
anyone has found the same thing with chile seeds.

This year I'm growing some serranos and habs from 3 year old seeds
(they have germinated OK) and hope to compare their crops
with those from fresh seed.

Having read and inwardly digested (in a manner of speaking) the
suggestions on this list I have transplanted all my seedlings with
soil up to their bottom leaves, put them in 7 inch pots and stood
them all close together in an unheated greenhouse, with a few
tagetes here and there to keep off aphids.
Oh yes, and I talk to them every day!

Any sugestions about fertiliser - Miracle-gro, MaxiCrop (seaweed based)
Tomorite or Phostrogen?

Regards,

Ron.
