In fact, different varieties in the same species will show different levels of infestation. For example, a couple of years back I grew 3 different varieties of habaneros under lights, Rica Red, Congo, and fatali. The fataliis were completely unaffected by aphids, the Congos had a moderate infestation, and the Rica Reds were totally destroyed, despite all efforts to save them. This year, aphids and whiteflies are attacking my billy goat and lantern varieties, but not the rocotos and Red Savinas. I'm getting Popeye forearms from spraying soap solution on my affected plants... Richard
