My plants have been in the ground for about two weeks now here in central Indiana. Just over the last week though Ive noticed something not quite right about them , but I do not posess the knowledge to diagnose. The leaves were a really good dark green color when I set them out. Since then I thought they were doing very good, but now it seems they are slightly curling upwards and are losing some of the dark green to a more lighter green color. THey have alot of flowers coming on and Im wondering what might be causing the loss of color. I fertilize once a week with a slightly weaker solution of Miracle Grow. THey are in raised beds with a good sandy, decay rich soil...... I have also noticed some of them appear to have some black spots, I almost want to say like a fungus, but ive never seen a fungus on a plant so I do know if it is or not. They do not have any bugs on them and get watered pretty regularly. Anyone have any ideas what to try to bring them back around??? We did have 2 nights down in the 40's a couple nights back, the coldest night though I placed buckets over them all and took them off the next morning... but other than that Im stumped and do not want to lose my precious babies hehehe... :-) PART2 Someone on the list asked for a good chipoltle sauce - by far out of the 10 or so Ive tried from different places the best is Jim The elders sauce. For those new to the list he is at www.wildpepper.com - I keep stocked up on his Smokin' Chipoltle sauce as I have been known to use it on everything and anything I can :-) Just my 2 cents to the conversation. Many Thank in advance Tom Cuneo
