Thanks to everyone who joined us for this past weekend's Hotluck in Shallow Alto. As best as we can estimate, there were over 90 people, including about 15 kids. The food was fantastic, as usual, and the average heat level was up over last year's. (This may be due solely to Mark Snitily's red demon rum.) We appreciate the time, effort, and imagination that people put into their dishes (and are still enjoying some of the leftovers - as, we hope, are all the people we forced to take some with them). I'm also glad that I did not kill anyone with my experiments (there is still some of the Red Savina ice cream left, for anyone interested). Also, we cannot express enough gratitude for Dana's dishwashing skills. We do have a few orphans left over from the party - if you find that you have one less dish in your house, please let Roswitha or me (heck, or Dave Hoffman) know. As usual, please email me your recipes. I will (I promise!) publish them on my webpage this year. Now that we've held the last hotluck of the Millennium, we do need someone to tell us what to call the party coming up this October. For those of you who missed it...pphhhbbbtttt. Scott & Roswitha
