As some of you will recall, I enclosed three of my chile plants in Wall-o'-Water (TM) devices earlier this spring (such as it is this year in northern California). Today I checked the progress of the plants. The Hungarian Wax pepper plant in the w-o'-w is starting to bloom; the one outside hasn't. All three enclosed plants are about 20 percent bigger than those outside. Looks to me like the W-o'-W might be a worthwhile investment for those who live in chile-semi-unfriendly environments. Note, however, that the w-o'-w also provides a hospitable environment for weeds ... Further reports as the growing season progresses. - Tony
